They informed me that they had on record that we had been using illegal Nuke software and if we wanted to make a purchase we would have to pay a fine with them.which included a few licenses of Mari. But when I reached out to a Foundry rep I was forwarded to someone who handled security. Nuke was the last purchase I had to make because of how expensive it is. So after 2 years of hard work I finally got our animation team up and running completely on licenses software. The company I currently work for made heavy use of pirated software (including Nuke) before I showed up and started cleaning house. Nuke monitors your activity and communicates it to the Foundry. But they sure as shit have you IP address if you ever used Nuke while connected to the internet. You might not get an email if you don't have a user account with them.
